Washington visit by Michele Mauder-ASOC President, Bob Mason-ASOC Chairman, and Jim Maziarz-ASOC Co-Chairman...Proposal/packets distributed to:Former Congressman and civil rights pioneer Walter Fauntroy, talked yesterday about the Auto Stakeholders Ownership Corporation proposal to Paul Volcker, fomer Fed chairman and now chair of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board.  Volcker several days ago suggested that Cong. Fauntroy send your proposal to Adam Hitchcock of the President's Task Force on Autos.  Cong. Fauntroy promised to deliver it to Hitchcock late yesterday.

Delivered 14 packages with your cover letter and the EEI cover letter signed by Cong. Fauntroy, Norman Kurland and Michelle Mauder to the following offices: Sen. John McCain (R-AR); Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH, who represents your Toledo district); Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI); Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH); Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI); Se. Dick Durbin (D-IL); Sen. Dick Lugar,(D-IN); Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN); Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Ct); Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA); Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL), (both of whom support a reorganization of the auto industry and you thought might welcome our ownership alternative); Rep.  Bennie Thompson (D-MS), and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA, who is an outspoken conservative advocate of the ESOP.

Washington D.C. on Monday, March 31, 2009 met with Congressman
John Conyers-successful meeting.  Commitment from meeting:  schedule a hearing
regarding our ownership proposal and a town hall meeting in Detroit to gather
support. Mr. Conyers hand delivered our proposal to President Obama yesterday at 5:00 pm
